"tlhIngan Hol: tugh qoH 'ej nachDaj chevlu'ta'"...and may I also add, "qaStaHvIS wa' ram loS SaD Hugh SIjlaH qetbogh loD." (And how!) Apologies for the confusion, Nation, but I've been polishing up my Klingon skills...its a bit rusty, but I always need to be prepared: whether for the pending Andorian invasion, a nerd takeover of ComicCon, or if I am to ever visit the subject of our twenty-eighth (and final) installment of the CCC's 28-part series, Better Know A- Lberta!

Today's feature is the riding of Macleod: the fightin' Captain Stubings!

Macleod is known worldwide in the geek-dom as being the home of the city of Vulcan, named for the Roman god of fire, not the Star Trek species. Nevertheless, Vulcan has cashed in on its coincidence, hosting the annual "VulCON" Convention each June, at the Tourism And Trek Station, which features a full-sized statue of the Starship Enterprise. Women and social lives be damned...folks in this town truly know how to PARTY!

The riding is also home of the UNESCO Heritage Site, Head-Smashed-In-Buffalo-Jump, where Blackfoot tribespeople would kill buffalo by (you guessed it!) driving them off a 10 metre cliff, until their heads (again, you guessed it!) were smashed to bits. Now I'm normally no fan of these Heritage Sites...too much nature, too little Starbucks. But any site that celebrates the culture of driving livestock off cliffs...and charging $4.95 for fruit cups! Where do I sign up?

And finally, Macleod is home to the famed "Big Rock," the world's largest glacial erratic, tipping the scales at a measly 15,000 tonnes. The enviro-stapo has claimed that erosion and global warming has caused slope movement to Big Rock, causing it to shrink in size...but we all know that is just a lie, spread by the liberal media; Big Rock will only shrink when Jesus Christ decides that it is blocking his view of the Enterprise statue over in Vulcan!

And which MP has the "Big Rocks" to represent this proud rural district? Why, it's none other than Conservative MP Ted Menzies, who has served the riding since 2004. Contact MP Menzies here to let him know you wish for Macleod to "live long and prosper" in the mighty nation of Colberta!
